This training is to provide you the information, basic skills and materials that you will need to respond to your community's immediate needs in the aftermath of a disaster, when emergency services are not immediately available. March 27 - St. Mary's Ryken Spring Gala

All aboard the Orient Express is this year's theme for St. Mary's Ryken Spring Gala. A spectacular evening of dinner and dancing as well as live and silent auctions, will delight all travelers. Plan to attend this glorious event at the Hollywood Volunteer Fire Department Social Hall, located at 24801 Three Notch Road, Hollywood, Maryland. March 27 - Spring Craft Fair
Valley Lee 2nd District Fire House
The 2nd District Fire Department and Rescue Squad Auxiliary is sponsoring a Spring Craft Fair. There will be a 50/50 raffle, great food, and various crafts to choose from such as jewlery, flower arrangements, quilts, country crafts, Tastefully Simple, paintings, crocheted items, baked goods etc. Cost of space / table is $25.00. May 15 - Camp Sunshine
Melwood Retreat Center
Ages 6-12. Camp Sunshine is a one-day camp for children who are grieving the loss of a loved one. The day is designed to develop a trusting atmosphere so that the children can safely address experiences and feelings related to their grief. The date for Camp Sunshine is May 15, 2010 from 9 AM to 4 PM at Melwood Retreat Center in Nanjemoy Maryland. October 6 - Nature Time at Greenwell
Greenwell State Park
Enjoy the wonders of nature at Greenwell State Park through games, crafts, stories, movement, and exploration. Nature Time is a program for young children and their families/caregivers. Pre-registration (is required via email - lpranzo@greenwellfoundation.org - or by calling the Greenwell Foundation office at 301-373-9775. Please note: Nature Time will meet twice a month during January, and February. One of the gatherings will be held on a Tuesday and the other will be held on a Wednesday each month.
